Division 16 is excited to announce that registration for our inaugural webinar, entitled “Demystifying Academia: Faculty Roles and Opportunities,” is now open! The event will be held Friday, September 30, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. EST, and will feature the following presenters:

– Bryn Harris, Ph.D. (Associate Professor, University of Colorado Denver)

– Prerna Arora, Ph.D. (Assistant Professor, Pace University; Visiting Assistant Professor, University of Maryland, School of Medicine)

– Amanda Sullivan,  Ph.D. (Associate Professor, University of Minnesota)

– Moderator – Jacqueline Brown, Ph.D. (Assistant Professor, University of Montana)

Speakers will discuss how graduate students and practitioners can best prepare to be competitive candidates for faculty positions. Strategies for success for early career scholars in academic positions will also be addressed.

Registration is free for Division 16 members! And, if you are not currently a member, you may still register and become a member this month at a special discounted rate of $20 for professionals and $5 for students (instructions will be sent via email). Note that all new memberships will extend though the end of 2017 and will allow free access to webinars—and other member benefits—during that time!
