The University of Cincinnati is currently accepting applications for an Assistant Professor- Educator (12 month appointment) to serve as Instructor for the Graduate Certificate in Behavior Analysis and Foundations in Behavior Analysis MEd Programs. Both programs include a course sequence approved by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). The Certificate and Degree Program includes coursework (online format) to prepare students for the national examination required for credentialing as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Responsibilities of this position include service to the Program (including Program-level planning for continuous improvement; collaboration with BCBA professionals to help inform program planning and build capacity for field experience supervision for students; supervision of graduate teaching assistants and adjunct instructors) and teaching (including staying abreast of developments in the field of behavior analysis; assuring course content is current; aligning instruction with quality standards for online learning; maintaining positive, supportive, and collaborative relationships with students).  Additional responsibilities include serving on School, College and University committees, and other duties as assigned.

Based on the Carnegie Foundation Classification System, The University of Cincinnati (http://www.uc.edu/) is a Doctoral Granting Research University with Very High Research Activity (RU/VH). It is part of Ohio’s higher education system with approximately 42,000 students in attendance (10,000 graduate students). The Behavior Analysis Programs are housed in the School Psychology Program, located within the School of Human Services in the College of Education, Criminal Justice and Human Services. The School also includes undergraduate and graduate programs in Counseling, Health Promotion and Education, Substance Abuse Counseling, Athletic Training, and Sport Administration. The School is a leader in online course and certificate development, and there are many active collaborative activities across programs. Six full-time faculty are assigned to the School Psychology and Behavior Analysis Programs.

Position Qualifications: Applicants must have an earned doctorate in behavior analysis, psychology, or education (or anticipated completion by August 2017). Applicants must be a Board Certified Behavior Analyst or be eligible for this credential. Applicants also must have a minimum of 3 years of experience implementing behavioral practices and demonstrated university- level teaching experience, including online instruction. Successful applicants will demonstrate organizational and effective communication skills. Experience teaching at the graduate level, including teaching online, and supervising graduate students are preferred. Licensure as a psychologist or eligibility for licensure by the State Board of Psychology also preferred.
