The American Psychological Association’s Minority Fellowship Program is seeking nominations for two new members for the Training Advisory Committee (TAC) for its Services for Transition Age Youth (STAY) Fellowship program. The STAY Fellowship program aims to identify, select, and support the training of master’s level psychology or counseling students who plan to work as behavioral health service providers, helping reduce health disparities among ethnic minorities in the United States.

The term of services is three years, beginning February 2017, with the possibility of serving a second term consecutively.

The TAC plays a key role in selecting new Fellows and advising the MFP office regarding policy and program issues. We are seeking two persons with current experience working at the master’s level in psychology to serve on the TAC section for STAY. These individuals must demonstrate a commitment to working: 1) with transition age youth; 2) in community settings; 3) with a focus on culturally, ethnically, and economically diverse populations. In addition, individuals must demonstrate clinical experience in behavioral health treatment, prevention, or training.

Nomination materials should include the nominee’s letter of interest and qualifications (including a statement of applicable experience and a demonstration of relevance to SAMHSA’s mission and priorities as well as a commitment to serve the entire term on the TAC if appointed), current curriculum vitae, and at least one letter supporting the candidate’s nomination. Please submit materials no later than January 22, 2017 at http://mfp.TAC-Nominations-STAY.sgizmo.com/s3/.
