The Division 16 Executive Committee and the Convention Planning Committee of the APA is pleased to offer several opportunities to receive a registration fee waiver for the convention in Washington DC this August.  Please consider the opportunities below.

  1. One waiver is for a non-psychologist who is presenting in a symposium at the convention.  Application materials must include the name of the first author, name of the presentation, and letter of interest (fewer than 500 words) indicating why you should receive the waiver.  Please send materials to Julia Ogg, Program Convention Chair (jogg@niu.edu), by February 15, 2017.  This information will be considered by the Conference Committee and the winner will be notified.
  2. A second waiver is available for any presenter (member or non-member) who will be presenting at the 2017 APA convention in August.  If you are interested in applying, please submit your name, name of your presentation, and letter of interest (fewer than 500 words) indicating any unique circumstances that make you a good candidate for this award.  The Conference Committee will consider factors such as financial hardship (e.g., employer no longer provides funding for conference travel), how attending this conference will benefit your practice, and/or how the waiver would help you attend APA for the first time (or after a long period of not attending).  The information will be considered by the Conference Committee and the winner will be notified. Please send your materials to Julia Ogg, Program Convention Chair (jogg@niu.edu), by February 15, 2017.
