Position Summary
The University of Denver’s Morgridge College of Education (MCE) invites applications for an Associate Dean. The Associate Dean will report to the Dean of the Morgridge College of Education, providing strategic leadership and promoting excellence in MCE’s activities. The Associate Dean, in partnership with the Department Chairs, will support and direct faculty growth and development in teaching, scholarship, research and professional activities while ensuring that MCE’s various Programs maintain accreditation through high academic standards. We seek a candidate with experience coordinating or administering academic programs; who has demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and collegially with faculty, staff, students and administrators; who possesses strong process management and analytical abilities; and who has demonstrated performance in making sound, independent judgments. This position requires an individual with a demonstrated commitment to student success; someone who uses data and research to inform instructional and organizational decisions; and an individual who seeks out innovative teaching and learning strategies and motivates faculty to employ those strategies. This appointment will commence on September 1, 2017.
