The Department of Applied Psychology at Northeastern University is offering a one year, full-time Postdoctoral Research Associate position with the possibility of renewal for up to two additional years. The incumbent will play a leadership role in a measurement development project funded by the Institute for Education Sciences (R324A150071). The goal of the project is to develop and evaluate formative measures for the assessment of the emotional and behavioral functioning of elementary school students. The position will focus on: school and participant recruitment, scheduling of data collection; supervising graduate student research assistants; and collecting, managing, analyzing, and disseminating data associated with the grant. Challenges of the position involve being involved simultaneously in multiple aspects of the research process, managing graduate students with many competing demands for their time, along with the other challenges involved in conducting field-based research.

Minimum qualifications included (a) earned doctorate in school psychology or a closely related field by August 2017, (b) experience working with administrators and staff in school settings, and (c) experience with scholarly writing. Desirable qualifications include (a) expertise in social-emotional/behavioral assessment and (b) background in measurement theory.
