PI Julie S. Owens, Ph.D., and Co-PI Steven W. Evans, Ph.D., Co-Directors of the Center for Intervention Research in Schools (www.oucirs.org) invite applications for two postdoctoral fellows. The two-year fellowships are designed to prepare fellows for licensure in psychology and pursuit of a tenure-track position in academia. The fellows will play a leadership role in a randomized controlled trial (Goal 3) funded by the Institute of Education Sciences (IES) evaluating two models of coaching and implementation supports for teachers’ use of universal and targeted classroom interventions for elementary school students. The fellows will assist with project management, supervision of graduate and undergraduate students and staff, and have the opportunity to publish manuscripts from project data and other datasets.
Candidates should have a doctorate in clinical, educational, or developmental psychology, school psychology, education, public health, or related discipline. Candidates with experience in academic-¬community partnerships and/or school mental health research are especially encouraged to apply. The projected start date for these positions is June or July of 2020.

The Center for Intervention Research in Schools is an internationally recognized, interdisciplinary research center that integrates training and service into all activities. Our goal is to improve the lives of children (early childhood through emerging adulthood) who struggle with emotional and behavioral challenges through school-based interventions and supports. CIRS is home to 9 highly productive faculty, representing 4 departments and 4 colleges (Arts and Science, Education, Medicine, Communications), 2 full-time staff members, 2-part time staff members, 12 graduate students, and scores of undergraduate research assistants. CIRS has office space in Athens and Columbus. CIRS faculty have received over $29 million in federal grants (e.g., NIMH, NIAAA, IES, NSF, PCORI, CDC) since our inception in 2012.
