The Center for Management of ADHD and Healthy Minds, Healthy Kids (HMHK) Programs are committed to conducting innovative research, providing interprofessional training, and offering evidence-based clinical services for children and adolescents. A major focus of the research conducted through the ADHD Center and HMHK is supporting collaborative relationships among families, schools, and the health system to improve youth outcomes at home and school.

We are seeking multiple full-time Research Assistants to join our team in Summer 2021 for at least one year. The Research Assistants will be involved with one of three federally funded comparative effectiveness trials (see links for brief details on each trial)

Applicants should submit a single application and will be considered for a research assistant position on any of the three studies. Applicants who are not interested in being considered for positions on all three studies (e.g., an applicant who is only interested in the school-based studies) should indicate as such on their letter of interest, otherwise, the study team will select and contact overall top candidates and successful candidates will be sorted across studies based on fit and availability.

These positions provide an exciting opportunity and experience for individuals interested in pursuing advanced graduate degrees in school psychology, clinical psychology, health psychology, or related fields. The Research Assistants’ responsibilities include:

  • Assisting the staff in developing and maintaining relationships with participating schools and pediatric primary care offices
  • Assisting with participant recruitment procedures including conducting telephone screening with families, and meeting with families, school administrators, and teachers to obtain consent and child assent
  • Assisting with data collection, data entry, and data management, including travel to local schools for data collection
  • Assisting with videotaping of intervention sessions to support fidelity monitoring.
  • Meeting all quality assurance and confidentiality guidelines for data collection, and assuring accurate completion of measures during study visits
  • Creating and managing surveys and databases in REDCap and other platforms as needed
  • Maintaining participant engagement in the study

Qualifications: Experience on clinical research studies preferred. Experience with school collaboration is preferred. Bachelor’s degree in psychology or related field preferred. Ability to travel frequently to local primary care practices and schools is required (i.e., a car is necessary; mileage is reimbursed). Basic knowledge of research design/data analysis and experience with survey and spreadsheet software is preferred. Flexible schedule is needed.

Application: For more information about the positions and for information about how to apply, contact Alex Holdaway at holdawaya@chop.edu.
