The Department of Disability and Psychoeducational Studies (DPS) in the College of Education invites applications for a full-time academic appointment as an Assistant Professor of Practice in the School Psychology Program. This is a year-to-year appointment renewable for up to 1 year contingent upon funding and performance. The appointment will begin August 2021 and is expected to end on May 2023 contingent on renewal. This career-track appointment is not eligible for tenure.

The School Psychology Program offers an Educational Specialist (EdS) degree and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree. The PhD degree program is accredited by both the American Psychological Association (APA) and the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP). The EdS degree program is accredited by the National Association of School Psychologist (NASP). The program is growing and is fully committed to playing a key role in addressing the needs of school districts in the surrounding community, as well as impacting the provision of school psychology services on a national and global level. Faculty members engage in applied research that can directly inform practice and address the needs of children, adolescents, families, school personnel, and policy-makers.

The program faculty places a high value on collaboration both within the program and across disciplines. We seek individuals who bring energy, leadership, and a deep commitment to academic excellence, within the scholar-practitioner tradition. We are particularly interested in candidates who are able to work with a diverse student population, stakeholders, and colleagues.
