The College of Education’s Department of Disability and Psychoeducational Studies is seeking a part-time research assistant for a federally-funded study in youth with type 1 diabetes. The primary role for this position will involve conducting multi-method, multi-informant assessment of sleep, glucose, and psychosocial functioning in the context of a research study. As part of this role, the individual’s primary responsibilities will be conducting home-based polysomnography (PSG) (an average of 3 per week) and evaluation (~3 per week) visits. The crux of the sleep studies and evaluation visits are scheduled during non-school hours including late afternoons, evenings, some later nights and possibly weekends to accommodate minor participants’ sleep schedules. Thus. the individual must be willing to travel to participants’ homes to complete sleep studies and/or evaluation. Availability for advanced-scheduled lab-based data collection or team meetings during business hours or early evening is also required.
