We are pleased to announce two full-time pediatric clinical neuropsychologist positions at the Learning and Emotional Assessment Program (LEAP) within the Department of Psychiatry of Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) in Boston, MA.
LEAP provides outpatient neuropsychological evaluations to children and adolescents ages 2 to 22. We specialize in the assessment of neurodevelopmental, psychiatric, and learning difficulties, emphasizing a collaborative approach that engages the child, family, and referring provider. Referral populations include but are not limited to those referred from pediatricians, child psychiatrists and psychologists, and child neurologists.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in the assessment of neurodevelopmental disorders associated with known and idiopathic conditions. Experience and/or training in assessment of diverse populations, toddlers, autism spectrum disorder, and psychiatric disorders is also strongly preferred. The clinician will play a significant role in training, including supervision and teaching of child psychology interns and pediatric neuropsychology postdoctoral fellows.
While clinical care and training will be the primary responsibilities, LEAP has a well-developed and integrated clinical research program. All clinicians can collaborate on research projects without the need to secure their own research funding and/or can pursue independent research opportunities.
The position offers a competitive salary and generous benefits. In addition to a staff appointment at MGH, there will be an academic appointment at Harvard Medical School (HMS). Rank will be commensurate with experience but is expected to be at the Instructor level.
Candidates should be board-certified or eligible for ABPP board certification in clinical neuropsychology and subspecialty certification in pediatric neuropsychology. Candidates must have completed a doctoral degree in clinical or school psychology from an APA/CPA accredited program, an APA/CPA accredited pre-doctoral internship, and a formal two-year postdoctoral fellowship or equivalent in pediatric or developmental neuropsychology by September 2023. Applicants should be licensed or license-eligible in the State of Massachusetts.
To apply, please email a letter of intent, CV, 2 letters of recommendation, and 2 de-identified pediatric neuropsychological assessment reports to Sarah Mancuso (firstname.lastname@example.org). Interviews will be conducted in January 2023. Questions and correspondence should be addressed to LEAP’s Director, Molly Colvin, PhD ABPP (email@example.com).
