Northwell Health is recruiting an early to mid-career pediatric focused neuropsychologist, with particular expertise and interest in school neuropsychology, to join The Center for Neuropsychological Services located at LIJ Medical Center. The organization consists of Long Island Jewish Hospital, Cohen Children’s Medical Center, and Zucker Hillside Hospital, Northwell Health’s flagship behavioral health hospital.

The new clinician will expand the collaboration between Northwell Health and surrounding school districts in the Long Island region. The majority of patient referrals will come from schools with standing contracts with Northwell Health as part of a growing initiative aimed at increasing access to behavioral health services in schools. Referral needs will focus on neurodevelopmental conditions including learning disability, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, intellectual disability, social/emotional/behavioral difficulties, and a range of medical concerns. Responsibilities include outpatient pediatric neuropsychological assessment and consultation with educational staff. There are ample opportunities for teaching, supervision, and research activities. Our clinicians are involved in our APA-accredited internship program and in training at the extern and fellowship levels.

This is a truly unique opportunity to join The Center for Neuropsychological Services – an outpatient based clinical practice providing assessment to people across the lifespan with a variety of neurodevelopmental, psychiatric, and medical illnesses. Currently we are staffed with two neuropsychologists and two clinical neuropsychology fellows. Full administrative support is provided.
