The Elsevier journal, Acta Psychologica (https://www.elsevier.com/social-sciences-and-humanities/psychology/journals/acta-psychologica), is adding a section on Educational Psychology. The incoming Section Editor for Educational Psychology is looking for Associate Editors with expertise in Ed Psych, Social Psych of Education, School Psych, and quantitative/mixed methods.

Associate editors’ responsibilities include “overseeing the peer review of papers assigned to them by the Editor-in-Chief by inviting appropriate experts in the field to send comments and recommendations on papers submitted to the Journal, making decisions on the basis of reviews, and responding to author, reviewer, and editor queries, as appropriate and in a timely fashion.”

He anticipates Associate Editors handling 6–8 manuscripts to review per year and at busy time, devoting about 1 day a week to the role.
