The School of Education (SOE) at Loyola University Chicago invites applications for a tenure-track position at the assistant professor rank with primary teaching, research, and service responsibilities in the School Psychology programs. The selected individual will join faculty in the SOE’s CAEP-accredited undergraduate and graduate programs, all of which are shaped around the SOE’s conceptual framework of advancing professionalism in the service of social justice.

The selected individual will teach graduate courses in the NASP-approved EdS program, APA-accredited PhD program, and EdD program designed for practicing school psychologists; provide mentorship to graduate students; supervise graduate student research; maintain an active research and publication program; and engage in service to the programs, SOE, university, and profession. Candidates will demonstrate expertise in assessment, prevention, intervention, data-based decision making, and individual and systems-level consultation and collaboration within an MTSS framework. Candidates will also demonstrate a strong interest in urban education and dedication to serving a diverse student body consistent with Loyola University Chicago’s commitment to advancing social justice through transformative education. Candidates will demonstrate a commitment to collegiality and collaboration within the School Psychology programs and larger SOE and university community.

Required qualifications include: (a) an earned doctorate in School Psychology, preferably from an APA- accredited program; (b) licensed or license-eligible as a school psychologist and psychologist in Illinois; (c) evidence of scholarly productivity; and (d) demonstrated success or promise in securing extramural funding.
