Kent State University (KSU) invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor within the APA-accredited and NASP-approved School Psychology program. The position will begin Fall 2020. Housed within the College of Education, Health, and Human Services (EHHS) and the School of Lifespan Development and Educational Sciences (LDES), the KSU School Psychology program offers both Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) and Doctoral (Ph.D.) degree programs. We are seeking a colleague to be part of a vital program that is committed to both research and practice in school psychology.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Earned doctorate with specialization in school psychology or closely related field from an APA-accredited and/or NASP-approved program; and
  • Evidence of, or potential for, (a) scholarly productivity, (b) obtaining extramural funding, (c) graduate teaching, and (d) graduate student advisement.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Eligible for, or possession of, one or more of the following credentials: (a) NCSP, (b) State Department of Education license as a school psychologist, or (c) State Board of Psychology license.

Responsibilities:

  • Graduate teaching, engagement in active research program, participation in service, supervision of doctoral dissertations, and advisement to graduate students in school psychology at the specialist and doctoral levels.
