Alverno College’s NASP-accredited School Psychology Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) Program, located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, seeks applicants for a full-time ten-month faculty position as an Assistant Professor beginning the 2024-2025 academic year. The full job posting can be found here.

The position is a full time, faculty exempt position. Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with qualifications, education, and experience. In addition, Alverno has a daycare on campus that gives priority enrollment to students, faculty, and staff. Full-time faculty are also provided the opportunity to teach during the summer or provide doctoral student mentorship for additional compensation

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Teach a range of courses in our Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) in School Psychology Program.
  • Assist with continual assessment and improvement of the program.
  • Advise graduate students as needed.
  • Serve and collaborate in departmental and cross-departmental committees.
  • Engage in scholarship activities related to teaching and school psychology.
  • Demonstrate leadership in the field of school psychology through research activities, engagement
  • with the community, and conference attendance.
  • Must commit to recruiting and training students of color and/or populations that are typically
  • underrepresented in the field of school psychology

Qualifications and Education

  • PhD with a School Psychology specialization required, with preference for graduation from a
  • NASP- and/or APA-accredited program.
  • Licensed (or license eligible) as a School Psychologist
  • Experience as a School Psychologist is preferred.
  • Successful candidates will have a demonstrated commitment to promoting diversity, inclusion, and multicultural competence in an educational and work environment and must be willing to contribute to the College’s strategic plan of inclusion.
