Teachers College, Columbia University seeks applicants for a lecturer (non-tenure-track) faculty in our APA and NASP accredited School Psychology Ph.D. and Ed.M. programs. Review of applications will begin on January 15th 2024, and continue until the position is filled.

​​We seek a highly organized and knowledgeable school psychology colleague to contribute to and advance our Masters in School Psychology (MA/EdM) program. The successful candidate will help organize and monitor school-based practicum experiences and master’s level internship experiences and teach/supervise school-based practicum seminars for master’s students as well as doctoral students in the school psychology program.

If interested, this person could also direct the MA/EdM program, including establishing and maintaining school partnerships, coordinating student teaching practicum assignments, assisting in the review of program applicants, and advising and mentoring graduate students. A successful applicant will have demonstrated commitment to promoting inclusion and multicultural competence and will contribute to the diversity and excellence of our academic community. Other teaching opportunities will depend on the applicant’s interest and areas of expertise, aligned with the NASP Domains of Practice, as well as program needs. The typical teaching load is 2:3; with a course release for program directing, the teaching load would be 2:2. Additional opportunities to teach in the summer are available.

The ideal candidate for this position will: (1) have a doctoral degree from an APA-accredited school psychology program; (2) be licensed (licensed-eligible) as a psychologist in New York (3) hold (or be eligible for) certification as a school psychologist in New York and as a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP); (4) have successful experience working in applied school and/or clinical contexts; (5) have a demonstrated track record of strong clinical supervision, advising, and teaching; (6) have leadership experience such as within training programs (particularly around accreditation) or school psychology organizations or associations; and (7) have experience supporting the training of school psychologists for work in high-needs schools serving culturally and linguistically diverse students.
