The Sheila C. Johnson Center for Human Services (SCJC) in the Curry School of Education seeks applicants for multiple Post-Doctoral Research Associates, beginning in the Summer or Fall 2015. The Center provides integrated multidisciplinary clinical services for individuals of all ages. SCJC incorporates the expertise of licensed professionals with a diverse graduate training program spanning a broad range of clinical specialties. These positions focus on psychological assessment and therapeutic intervention services. The incumbent will be able to develop and strengthen the center’s links to other units operating within the integrated clinic and administrative units throughout the University. The incumbent is expected to work collaboratively with other units in the multidisciplinary clinic.
Duties include supervising pre-doctoral graduate students in their assessment work. Assisting with outreach, recruitment, and scheduling of potential clients for the Center. Opportunities for collaboration and professional development may include rotations with pediatric neuropsychology, assessment of autism, and diagnostic testing with the McGuffey Reading Center. Some rotations also include an administrative/intake component. This is a one year appointment renewable for up to two additional years depending on satisfactory performance and funding.
An earned doctorate in Clinical or School Psychology, preferably from an APA accredited doctoral program and internship is required by the start date of the position. Qualified candidates must demonstrate an explicit commitment to evidence-based clinical treatment, and/or have clinical experience that contributes to advancing understanding and outcomes for clients. Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in varied clinical treatment settings, scholarship, teaching, and in training and supervision of graduate students. Experience may have been gained in a pre-doctoral clinical training program.
