The Emory Autism Center invites applications for a pre-doctoral position in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences beginning July 1, 2015. The position is available for one-year. We welcome candidates who are current doctoral students in School Psychology or related fields; candidates with a master’s degree or higher but not current doctoral students will still be considered. Strong experience in assessment and intervention with individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is required. We particularly encourage candidates who have, or are near completion of, their certification in behavior analysis (i.e., BCBA). This person filling this position will be engaged in (a) individual and/or program assessment, (b) direct intervention with clients (school-age and adults), (c) training and/or consultations for schools, agencies and families, and (d) participate in research with school-age and adult individuals with ASD as well as their families and service providers. Candidates should have a strong desire to work as a team member within a clinical-research center, have some familiarity with grant-writing and/or have previously been a recipient of grant funding. Candidates with experience in the implementation of social skills groups for individuals with ASD are particularly encouraged to apply.
