The Department of Counseling, Clinical, and School Psychology (CCSP) invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level with a specialty in school psychology to begin July 1, 2016.  We seek candidates who are enthusiastic about joining our unique graduate program that emphasizes collaborative, cross-disciplinary preparation. Responsibilities will include (a) teaching graduate-level seminars, (b) research and fieldwork supervision, (c) grant writing, (d) doctoral student advising, (e) chairing dissertation committees, and (f) university and public service.

The ideal candidate for this position should have expertise regarding risk and resilience. The School Psychology specialization is based on the theoretical framework of ‘risk and resilience,’ focusing broadly on youth and the positive and negative circumstances that influence their functioning in the school and in the broader community. Candidates must be school psychology credential-eligible in the state of California.

The department is one of two doctoral (Ph.D.) programs accredited by the American Psychological Association for combined training in clinical, counseling, and school psychology. The CCSP Vision is — Innovations for Excellence and Equity in Counseling, Clinical, and School Psychology. The CCSP Mission is — To generate and disseminate knowledge, provide expertise, and prepare the next generation of diverse scholars in applied psychology.  The Department of CCSP strives to be recognized for excellence and innovation in research that fosters the psychological well-being and social equity of all people, especially vulnerable populations. We seek applicants who can contribute through research and teaching to the CCSP vision and mission. Preference will be given to applicants with a Ph.D. from an APA-accredited program.
