The State University of New York at Buffalo is seeking a Ph.D. level candidate in Psychology or a related field for a project director position on a 5-year longitudinal study with anticipated NIH funding through March 31, 2020.  The goal of the project is to examine developmental pathways to violence, victimization, and substance use (VVSU) in adolescence (15-17 years) in a sample of children exposed to high levels of community violence recruited at birth.  The PD will be responsible for conducting observational and physiological assessments with adolescents and their families (at an early adolescent data collection wave and a later adolescent wave), staff training and supervision, participant retention, and data management.  The position will involve close collaboration with the investigators and research team, including Dr. Rina Eiden and Dr. Amanda Nickerson (Principal Investigators) and co-Investigators Pamela Schuetze, William Wieczorek, Jamie Ostrov, Stephanie Godleski, and Joseph Lucke. There will be ample opportunity for participation in data analyses, presenting findings, and manuscript preparation.  Supervision toward licensure is available if desired.
