The Department of Psychology invites applications for an Assistant Professor position with the school psychology program effective August 2016. The psychology program at LSU has a strong commitment to empirically guided practice within a training model emphasizing ecological models and intervention. Responsibilities will include graduate and undergraduate teaching, establishment of a strong research agenda, supervision of student research, and supervision of practical training. Candidates are expected to demonstrate unambiguous potential for research excellence.

Required Qualifications:

Ph. D. in psychology, education, or closely related fields with specialization substantively relevant to school psychology is required. Research credentials that are commensurate with a research extensive university are also required. Candidates who are A.B.D. will be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

Well qualified candidates will be given serious consideration regardless of specific areas of interest or theoretical orientation. Additionally, colleagues with expertise in behavior analysis are encouraged to apply if they have expertise in the treatment and education of children exhibiting developmental and clinical concerns. Candidates who are eligible for BCBA certification are particularly encouraged to apply. Candidates who are eligible for licensure as a psychologist and/or board certification as a behavior analyst are preferred.
