Job Type Description Responsible for directing a staff and the efficient and effective operation of the Mental Health Center.

 

 

Salary Pay Code 16
Salary Range: $72,235 – $94,989 
Additional Job Information 1. Coordinates administrative and clinical functions of the mental health center to meet licensing/compliance requirements.

2. Supervises direct report(s) so as to effectively recruit, train, motivate, delegate, monitor and evaluate their activities, including hiring, firing, and disciplinary decisions. Provides staff with resources needed to successfully perform work.

3. Consults with Exceptional Children on behavioral concerns ad assessments for students.

4. Works collaboratively with other managers and management representatives in the district regarding the Mental Health Center services to achieve a system-wide result.

5. Formulates local targets, goals, and activities that are in sync with and support the broader goals and objectives of the organization.

6. Executes the responsibilities according to lawful and ethical standards. Uses personal judgment and initiative to develop effective and constructive solutions to challenges and obstacles.

7. Assists in the development of a departmental budget; presents, and defends program budget requirements as it applies to the Mental Health Center services; oversees and submits program expenditures and prepares financial forms and reports.

8. Monitors, evaluates, and develops reports for mental health center to be distributed across department functions.

9. Directs the preparation and maintenance of a variety of narrative and statistical reports, records, correspondence, and files related to assigned services, activities, and operations, provides for appropriate research and compiles reports, as needed.

10. Develops evidence-based standards for district-level guidelines to promote effective school discipline and positive behavior.

11. Performs other related duties as assigned or directed.

 

Minimum Qualifications Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology or other related field plus an additional 5 years related experience, or equivalent, for a total education/experience of 9 years. Doctoral-prepared psychologist required. Must be licensed by Tennessee Department of Mental Health and/or the Tennessee Department of Education
