We are seeking a Core Faculty member with both academic experience and leadership abilities to be the Program Director of a small, innovative, Clinical PhD Psychology program that has been continuously accredited by the American Psychological Association since 1984. Based on the scholar-practitioner model, we emphasize providing our students with high quality clinical competence, applied research training, and teaching skills for higher education. This full-time position is a combination of both administrative leadership and academic responsibilities.  We are particularly interested in expertise in clinical forensic psychology and/or child and family systems, although all areas of clinical psychology are relevant, including neuropsychology, mental health assessment, multicultural and international psychology, and/or other specializations that would broaden the richness of training for our students. The Clinical Psychology Programs (PhD and PsyD) on the Fresno campus are closely aligned and have emphasis areas of training in clinical forensic psychology, health psychology, and Ecosystemic child psychology.  We have the only Approved Center of Play Therapy Education located within a clinical psychology program (www.a4pt.org).  Our university also has specialized certificate training in Infant-Preschooler Mental Health and in LGBT Professional Practice that are available for our graduate students. The program is deeply engaged with diverse multicultural communities of Central California, and the Program Director will be expected to provide institutional visibility and commitment to serving the mental health needs of and advocacy for underserved populations.

Qualifications: Doctoral degree in psychology (licensed or license eligible in CA), graduate level teaching, clinical, and administrative experience, as well as a recent record of scholarship. The successful applicant will demonstrate a commitment to teaching excellence, collaboration, clinical expertise, infusion of diversity throughout the program, and productive scholarship.  Familiarity with APA Accreditation processes would be valued.
