The University of Southern Maine Educational and School Psychology Program seeks two tenure-track Assistant Professors to join its faculty in offering master’s and doctoral degrees leading to the following credentials: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA/BCBA-D), Certified School Psychologist, and Licensed Psychologist. USM is the only institution in Maine preparing School Psychologists and BCBAs. Responsibilities include teaching, scholarship and service. The ideal candidates will have a commitment to and expertise in collaborative problem solving, multi-tier system of supports (e.g., RTI), data-based decision making, and applied behavior analysis. These positions include advising graduate students in educational and school psychology and supervising doctoral dissertations. Specific course assignments will be based on the competencies and teaching experiences of the successful candidates. Position begins Fall 2016. Qualifications: Required: Earned doctorate in School Psychology by time of appointment; experience teaching graduate level courses in Educational Psychology and/or School Psychology; experience providing psychological services for students enrolled in pre-K to 12 school and/or clinic settings; eligibility for one or more school psychology practice credentials required to supervise students participating in University-sponsored clinical practice training; experience working with colleagues on their own professional development; experience integrating educational technology into teaching to support all learners; and excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Eligibility for certification as a School Psychologist and licensure as a Psychologist in Maine. Preferred: Certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and/or Nationally Certified School Psychologist. At least one of the successful applicants will already hold the BCBA or BCBA-D.
