The Division of Counseling and School Psychology at Alfred University, due to a recent retirement, invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position in School Psychology, beginning August 2016. We seek motivated, generous, and self-aware applicants with a good sense of humor and the potential for excellence in teaching, scholarly activity, and graduate-student advising. Candidates will be responsible for teaching core and specialized courses in both the MA/CAS and Psy.D. School Psychology programs. Qualified applicants will have a doctoral degree in School, Clinical, or Counseling Psychology (ABD candidates will be considered) and be licensed or license eligible in New York State. Special consideration will be given to candidates who hold a BCBA or BCBA-D. Successful candidates will have a commitment to and expertise in applied behavior analysis, data-based decision making, and multi-tier system of supports (e.g., RTI).
Founded in 1836 and nestled between the foothills of the Allegheny Mountains and the Finger Lakes wine region in western New York State, Alfred University is a small comprehensive private university. The Division of Counseling and School Psychology offers graduate programs leading to state and national certification as a School Psychologist and NYS Licensed Psychologist, as well as, NYS certification as a School Counselor and NYS Licensure as a Mental Health Counselor.
