Intent and Overview
The Emerging Frontiers in Concussion conference will focus on trends in concussion care and research from on-field and clinic assessments to targeted treatment pathways based on emerging evidence-based clinical profiles. Topics will include:

  • Comprehensive approaches to assessment using symptoms, neurocognitive, vestibular, oculomotor, neuroimaging and other emerging diagnostic assessments
  • Emerging concussion clinical profiles including cognitive-fatigue, vestibular, oculomotor, post-traumatic migraine, anxiety/mood, and cervical
  • Targeted, active treatment and rehabilitation approaches to concussion including: academic accommodations; exertion protocols; medications; cognitive, physical, vestibular, and vision therapies
  • Advances in clinical research on prognosis, risk factors, and long term effects of concussion

This conference is designed for physicians, psychologists, athletic trainers, physical therapists, and other allied health professionals (RN, PA, NP), as well as students and researchers involved or interested in concussion.
