Leaders in predictive analytics discuss its promise in reducing harm to children and the challenges it faces moving forward.

DESCRIPTION

Abused children are among the most vulnerable populations in America. The harm they suffer carries lifelong implications. Yet prevention remains difficult for social services agencies: Hundreds of children still die each year at the hands of caregivers.

This conference will discuss predictive analytics, an important new innovation that uses caseload data to predict which children are at highest risk and allows child welfare agencies to direct resources accordingly. This concept has been successfully implemented in some agencies but is still relatively new.

Join AEI for a discussion of how this innovative approach can be applied at the state level, with presentations from organizations responsible for developing these models, state child welfare commissioners, and the chair of the Commission to Eliminate Child Abuse and Neglect Fatalities.

Join the conversation on social media with @AEI on Twitter and Facebook.
