The school psychology program at St. John’s University is pleased to announce a one-year non-tenure track teaching position at the Assistant Professor position in school psychology effective August 2016.  The expected teaching load is four courses/semester and the primary teaching responsibilities will be at our Long Island campus. It is expected that one course will be taught twice each semester with one on the Queens campus and one on the Long Island campus.

The successful candidate will join a department with 29 faculty members as a member of the School Psychology Program of six faculty. The School Psychology Specialist Program is NASP approved and the Doctoral Program is APA accredited. Teaching is the primary expected responsibility but additional duties include serving on theses and dissertation committees and providing service to the department, university, and profession. Required Qualifications: An earned doctorate in school psychology or clinical or educational psychology with certification in school psychology. Experience in higher education teaching and student advising is valued.
