Advancing the Power of Economic Evidence to Inform Investments for Children: An International Conversation
Webinar 1 of 3: Latin America
June 16, 2016
9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
In April 2016, the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine released the widely anticipated consensus study report, Advancing the Power of Economic Evidence to Inform Investments in Children, Youth, and Families. This report proposes a number of stakeholder-specific recommendations on how to improve the quality, utility, and use of research, evaluation, and economic evidence to inform policy and funding decisions related to investments for children, youth, and families. The report and report brief are available for free.
On June 16, 2016, members of the authoring committee will host a virtual meeting to help disseminate the report’s conclusions to an international audience. The 1-hr webinar will feature a brief presentation on the major findings of the report, as well as reactionary comments from stakeholders associated with the Latin American context. Dr. Jere Behrman (University of Pennsylvania) and Dr. Florencia Lopez Boo (Inter-American Development Bank) will participate as guest speakers. The webinar will conclude after an engaging dialogue with its virtual viewers.
This event is free but you must register to participate. |
