Duties: Expected duties include teaching graduate and undergraduate courses, serving on thesis and dissertation committees, conducting research, and providing service to the department, university and profession. The start date for this position will be in August, 2017.
Required Qualifications: The candidate must have an earned doctorate by start date from an APA and/or NASP approved doctoral training program in School Psychology. Candidates should be eligible for School Psychologist certification from the Ohio Department of Education. Candidates should also be eligible for Psychologist licensure from the Ohio Board of Psychology within three years. Candidates should have expertise with a multi-tiered model of service delivery (academic & behavioral-mental health intervention) in the school setting, and evidence of strong potential for effective research and teaching.
Strong Candidates will possess: Desired qualifications include three or more years of practice in the field as a school psychologist; skills to incorporate technology in teaching; work with culturally and/or linguistically diverse learners; evidence of leadership or supervision skills; and ability to teach courses in the related disciplines of Educational Psychology and Special Education.

Department: Miami University’s Department of Educational Psychology has 18 faculty and offers a specialist degree in school psychology, an undergraduate degree in special education with a focus on mild/moderate and moderate/intensive disabilities, a master’s degree in educational psychology with a psychological or educational focus, and a master’s degree in special education. Furthermore, the department is exploring the possibility of a doctoral program in school psychology.
