The Department of Education at Valparaiso University invites applications for Assistant Professor of School Psychology. This position will start August of 2017. Duties for this full-time, tenure-track position include a combination of teaching, continued scholarly activity, field-supervision, ongoing professional development, and service to the Department and University. Valparaiso’s workload model allows for flexibility in how these components are balanced for each faculty member. A Ph.D. or Ed.D. in School Psychology is preferred. Applicants with direct field experience, background with applied behavior analysis, and interest in working with culturally and linguistically diverse students are strongly encouraged to apply. Additionally, both formal and informal mentorship is provided to guide the individual toward tenure and promotion.
Valparaiso University is located in Northwest Indiana, which offers college town charm mixed with urban, suburban, and rural school districts for field-based training experiences.
