UNC is excited to announce the inaugural year of the High Plains Psychology Internship Consortium located in northeastern Colorado and western Nebraska.

The consortium is comprised of three agencies located in Eastern Colorado and Western Nebraska, offering a unique opportunity for interns to advance their clinical training in rural and frontier settings. HP-PIC is currently accepting applications for two full-time intern positions; one located at Converge Day Treatment Center in Fort Morgan, CO and one located at Educational Services Unit #13 in Scottsbluff, NE. The Consortium has developed the internship to be in alignment with the profession-wide competencies required by the APA’s Standards of Accreditation. As such, HP-PIC provides a range of clinical and didactic experiences that represent the necessary depth and breadth required for future professional practice within rural school and clinical settings. Applicants with a background and interest in working with children and families, as well as providing services in rural, underserved settings are a particularly good match for HP-PIC.

HP-PIC currently participates in APPIC’s National Match as a non-member. Prospective interns are encouraged to submit applications online through the APPIC website, noting the application deadline of December 1, 2016.
