Ingham Intermediate School District (Ingham ISD) has 1 opening for a school psychology intern for the 2017-2018 school year. The internship meets the Council of Directors of School Psychology Programs (CDSPP) doctoral internship guidelines. Ingham ISD is a Regional Educational Service Agency (RESA) in mid-Michigan that provides services to 12 school districts and 10 public school academies (PSAs), which support over 44,000 students. Ingham ISD implements Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) in order to improve academic, behavioral, and social-emotional functioning for all students.
Applicants are sought with experience or interest in the following: MTSS, systems-level consultation, evidence-based interventions, implementation science, program evaluation, and/or research, data analysis, and statistics. Interns will spend part of their time at Ingham ISD to work on systems-level assessment, intervention, and consultation. The other part of their time will be spent in schools to work on individual-level assessment, intervention, and consultation. Applicants from diverse backgrounds and/or interest in conducting research are particularly encouraged to apply.
Internship Characteristics:
- Internship is full-time over 12 months, with a start date in August 2017.
- Interns will spend part of their time in systems-level work, the other part of their time in individual-level work.
- Interns will receive an annual stipend of $23,000
- Internship meets CDSPP guidelines, including two hours of individual supervision is provided by a licensed psychologist, at minimum.
- Unique emphasis on research, consultation, and systems-level implementation on MTSS.
- Strong potential for publication.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Interest in consultation and systems-level implementation of MTSS.
- Approval from university to begin internship.
- Passing score on the Praxis exam.
- Successfully passed comprehensive exams.
- Effective oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Doctoral dissertation proposal approved.
- Proficiency in advanced quantitative methods.
