Sarah Reed Children’s Center, a progressive, innovative, diverse, and well-respected child and adolescent behavioral health organization on the shores of beautiful Lake Erie, in Erie, Pennsylvania, is seeking a full-time doctoral level licensed psychologist.

Sarah Reed Children’s Center is the oldest child serving agency in Northwest PA and is widely known as a leader in serving children and families throughout Pennsylvania. We were an early adopter in Pennsylvania for implementing trauma-informed care under the Sanctuary Model® and became a Sanctuary® certified agency in 2010.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a doctoral level, licensed psychologist who would like to make a major contribution to our agency and who is interested in combining clinical work and clinical leadership within our agency. The psychologist will have a full range of responsibilities in our child and adolescent partial hospitalization program; our outpatient program, as well as being an integral faculty member of our well-respected APA accredited doctoral Internship in Health Services Psychology.   The faculty position gives the psychologist the opportunity to be at the forefront of the growth and development of future generations of emerging psychologists.

As a clinical leader, the psychologist will also be heavily involved in the development, oversight, and quality improvement/quality assurance of mental health and behavioral health services provided by a team of mental health professionals in our large partial hospitalization program. This critical role, in conjunction with the Supervisor of Therapy and Case Management Services and the Program Director, will have the opportunity to help improve, redesign and expand the program’s clinical services.

The psychologist will also be involved in a wide variety of clinical activities including but not limited to the following:

  • Psychotherapy with children, adolescents, families and possibly adults
  • Psychological testing and best practice medical necessity evaluations
  • Psycho-educational Evaluations (if applicable)
  • Crisis Intervention
  • Clinical Consultation

Other responsibilities would include:

  • Grant writing
  • Quality improvement activities
  • Agency training
  • Research
  • Community Involvement

The ideal psychologist is dedicated to maximizing impact, championing data-driven improvement, and will be an active leader in a deeply collaborative and mission-driven agency.

The individual will join an agency highly committed to supporting psychology as a profession and will be a member of a core team of psychologists who provide significant clinical leadership to the organization.
