The Department of Psychology at Montclair State University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in School Psychology to begin in September 2018. This position is open rank (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor). We seek a dynamic colleague to join the collaborative core faculty who contribute to our 65-credit Specialist-Level MA Program in School Psychology. In addition, this new faculty member would be involved in our PhD Program in Clinical Psychology, which has a child/adolescent focus and offers opportunities for certification in school psychology. Area of research specialization is open. Responsibilities include teaching courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, conducting an active research program, mentoring undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students, contributing to program development and evaluation, and providing service to the University and professional community.

Montclair State University is a public doctoral research university (R3) located approximately 30 minutes from New York City. The Psychology Department comprises more than 30 tenure-track and tenured faculty members and more than 20 active research labs. Our school psychology students receive practicum training at the department’s Psychological Services Clinic, which is housed in a new 25,000 square foot facility, featuring 24 assessment/treatment rooms equipped with state-of-the-art camera technology.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Applicants should have a doctoral degree in school psychology from a NASP or APA accredited program. Applicants should be certified or eligible for certification in school psychology (e.g., state certification or NCSP credential). Applicants should be licensed or eligible for licensure as a psychologist in New Jersey.

The ideal candidate should have demonstrated excellence in teaching and evidence of research productivity commensurate with experience. Experience working as a practicing school psychologist is desirable.
