The Department of Educational Psychology in the College of Education and Human Development at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level beginning Fall 2018. The successful candidate will contribute to the continued development and implementation of a master’s program in Educational Psychology (emphasis on behavior analysis), support students obtaining coursework and applied experience in pursuit of becoming Board Certified Behavior Analysts, and continue the department’s success at building relationships with schools and agencies throughout the San Antonio community.

Responsibilities include: teaching; advising and supervising students in field placements; conducting an active program of research; seeking extramural grant funding; and providing service to the department, college, and university. There is also the potential for the successful candidate to assume a leadership role in the department’s behavior analysis programs (i.e., master’s program in Educational Psychology and graduate certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis).

Required Qualifications: (1) earned doctorate in Behavior Analysis, Educational Psychology, Special Education, Psychology, or a related field by August 2018; and (2) a record of scholarly productivity and extramural funding commensurate with level of experience.

Preferred Qualifications: (1) doctorate from a Behavior Analysis program approved by the BACB or accredited by ABAI; (2) possess or be eligible for Texas licensure (Licensed Behavior Analyst) and possess or be eligible as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst; (3) teaching experience at the graduate level that includes behavior analytic courses, single-case research methods, and/or supervision of students in practicum or applied settings; (4) research experience in behavior analysis; (5) quantitative skills with an emphasis on single-case research methods or group experimental design; (6) applied experience providing behavior analytic services; and (7) teaching/applied experience with culturally and linguistically diverse populations.
