The School of Education, Department of Counseling and Educational Psychology at Indiana University, Bloomington invites applications for an open rank faculty position in School Psychology beginning fall 2018. We are particularly interested in a colleague whose research has attracted external funding and who has an interest in becoming Training Director for our Ph.D. and Ed.S. programs.

The Indiana University School Psychology program is accredited by the American Psychological Association and approved by the National Association for School Psychologists. The program has a strong track record of producing highly impactful scholars, clinicians, and leaders in the field of school psychology and health service psychology. As scientist-practitioners with an emphasis on social justice, we expect our students, graduates, and faculty members to contribute to both scientific and community organizations to promote equity and facilitate positive change at the local, state, and/or national level. We seek a colleague who shares our commitment to social justice and community enrichment, and who will also help shape the future vision of the program.

Research area specialization is open, but we are generally seeking applicants with research, clinical, and teaching interests related to one or more of the following broad areas:

• Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
• Social and Emotional Learning
• School Based Mental Health Programming • Early Intervention and Prevention

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Pursue an active agenda of research and publication.
  • Provide high quality research mentoring and academic advisement to graduate students.
  • Teach core courses in the school psychology program and contribute to program development.
  • Provide appropriate service to the program, school, state and national communities/organizations.
  • Provide effective leadership for our School Psychology PhD and Ed.S program.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a history of high-quality teaching, student mentoring, and research productivity supported by external funding or a potential to secure external funding. Candidates will have an earned Ph.D. from an APA Accredited School Psychology Program and be eligible for licensure in the State of Indiana.
