The Department of Counseling, Psychology and Special Education in Duquesne University’s School of Education has a new opportunity to fill a tenure-track faculty position in School Psychology at the Assistant Professor level. Salary and terms of appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and will include a 12-month salary, vacation, and benefits package. The position is expected to begin in 2018.

Responsibilities: Candidates are expected to teach at the graduate level in our APA accredited PhD and PsyD programs; some course work in the masters program may be required. Instruction is typically face-to-face however online formats are welcomed. Advisement for masters and doctoral students, collaboration with colleagues, and demonstration of excellence in research that enhances the reputation of the Department and School is expected.

Qualifications: Candidates should have earned a doctoral degree in school psychology. The specific area of research is open, however we welcome applicants with expertise in urban issues and/or those who bring perspectives from working with students in the schools.  Graduates from an APA accredited program and who are licensed or licensed eligible are preferred. Additionally, university teaching and/or leadership experience will be viewed positively.
