The Education and Leadership Department at California State University, Monterey Bay seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor of School Psychology to begin fall 2019.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Teach graduate students in school psychology program with an emphasis on bilingual and multicultural school psychology
- Teach courses in the BCBA Certificate Program
- Supervise internship placements in public schools
- Provide academic advisement for graduate students
- Engagement in scholarly activities
- Assist the program in maintaining NASP approval and seeking external funding
QUALIFICATIONS (MINIMUM)
- Doctorate in School Psychology or Special Education from a NASP accredited program
- Must be eligible for, or hold, the Pupil Personnel Service Credential in School Psychology
- Experience as a school psychologist in a K-12 setting
- Expertise in School Psychology including assessment, ethics and law, special education, consultation, and individual and group counseling
- Knowledge and training in Applied Behavior Analysis in school settings
- Experience working effectively in an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community
- Demonstrated potential or record of effective teaching using a variety of methodologies
- Proficiency in oral and written communication
- Demonstrated potential for or record of research, scholarly and/or creative activity in the area of School Psychology
- Retention, tenure, and promotion require building a record of excellent teaching, service, and scholarly publications
QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRABLE)
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst – Doctoral
- Particular expertise in bilingual and multicultural school psychology
- NCSP Certification
- Bilingual (Spanish)
