Job description: The Department of Psychology at Syracuse University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position to join their APA- and NASP-accredited School Psychology Program. Successful candidates will show evidence of (1) high quality scholarship (2) potential to build a vigorous program of funded research (3) teaching excellence at both the graduate and undergraduate levels and (4) excellence in engaging graduate and undergraduate students from a diversity of backgrounds in research.
Applicants must complete a brief online faculty application, to which they will attach electronic copies of a cover letter, curriculum vitae, a research and teaching statement, which includes a discussion of how diversity is addressed in research and teaching, and representative publications. Candidates will be asked to provide the names of 3 references who might be asked to submit a letter of recommendation. | Qualifications | Candidates should be eligible for licensure as a psychologist in the state of New York. The Candidate’s area of research specialization in school psychology is open, but preference will be given to candidates with substantive interests in prevention science (e.g., school mental health; SWPBS), school- or hospital-based consultation, or pediatric school psychology. |
