The Department of Counseling and Human Development at the University of Louisville has an opening for a one-year (with optional second year) post-doctoral position starting fall, 2019, to work primarily in our Cardinal Success Program (CSP).  The CSP is comprised of two behavioral health training clinics in Louisville’s west end, a historically underserved area. One is housed in The Academy @ Shawnee, a high and middle school, and the other at the Nia Center, a stand-alone clinic that serves primarily adults and families. We place practicum students at these sites, the Youth Detention Services, Pediatricians, and also work with other university departments such as social work and nursing. This individual would have a great opportunity to gain administrative and supervisory experience, along with clinical hours and teaching, all with supervision and assistance. For someone interested in eventually becoming an agency director, clinician, non-profit coordinator, or perhaps a part-time or full-time instructor this would be an excellent position. More information about the position is provided in the attached job advertisement.
