The Selective Mutism Anxiety and Related Disorders Treatment Center (SMart Center), located in Jenkintown, PA is looking for a Licensed Clinical Psychologist. As one of the only Selective Mutism specialty centers in the nation, families travel from around the country and around the world to seek treatment with us! We are a fast-growing, dynamic and tightly-knit multidisciplinary team!

Position Description: Lead Clinician & Training Coordinator
This position is anticipated to be 55% clinical, 30% training & program development, and 15% research project coordination.

Clinical

  • Clinician will train in the S-CAT® model, under its founder Dr. Elisa Shipon-Blum.
  • Will take on a progressively-increasing caseload of clients.
  • Clinician will provide group treatment, clinical staff oversight and parent education/training as part of 3-day group intensive treatment program (CommuniCamp®).
  • Clinician will participate in various aspects of treatment.

Training & Program Development

  • Aid in the continual development of the S-CAT® group intensive training program, as well as the co-development of a mastery-level S-CAT® clinical training program.
  • Co-lead full day S-CAT® training program for group intensive clinical support staff.
  • Responsible for the recruitment, supervision and training of 1-2 doctoral-level practicum students and will oversee a clinical support/research team.
  • Manage CEU accreditation and administration.

Research

  • Oversee several ongoing research projects, manage existing archival databases, and provide support and guidance on research projects conducted by researchers and institutions in affiliation with the Selective Mutism Research Institute (SMRI)
  • Oversee development of presentations and posters for regional and national conferences. Travel to present.

Requirements: PsyD or PhD in Clinical Psychology, active license in the state of PA.
We are looking for a dynamic, creative, energetic and flexible clinician with excellent critical thinking and interdisciplinary collaboration skills. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with Selective Mutism and/or social anxiety disorders, a strong foundation of clinical skills, experience working with children of all ages and families, and a strong understanding of research and study design.

Compensation: Commensurate with experience, competitive base rate + fee for service schedule.

This position is benefit and PTO eligible, with flexibility in hours/scheduling. Part time with growth into full time position.
