The Austin Psychology & Assessment Center (or APACenter – www.APACenter.com) has an opening for a postdoctoral resident beginning between July and September of 2019.

The candidate must have completed their doctoral degree before beginning their postdoctoral training. At a minimum, candidates must have completed all requirements for the doctoral degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning, including an internship meeting APPIC, APA or CPA standards. Candidates with a strong background in administering comprehensive psychological evaluations to all age ranges are preferred, but experience conducting assessments of school-aged children and adolescents is required.

Qualified post-doctoral applicants will also have experience conducting individual psychotherapy using evidence-based treatments, preferably with a broad range of ages and clientele. Special expertise in areas such as parent training, family therapy, neuropsychological assessments, school-based assessments, autism spectrum disorders, and/or ADHD interventions would be beneficial.

The position will require a minimum of 40 hours per week and will include supervision by Licensed Psychologists who are also Licensed Specialists in School Psychology. There is a possibility that a part-time position would be available, so candidates who prefer that option should still apply. The postdoctoral resident will have the opportunity to participate in monthly didactics, weekly case consultation, and group supervision. The salary range is $38,000-$44,000.

More information about our practice can be found at www.APACenter.com. Interested candidates should send their CV and a letter of interest to drmikebrooks@apacenter.com. We look forward to hearing from you!
