The Austin Psychology & Assessment Center (or APACenter – www.APACenter.com) is seeking to hire a psychologist to join our team. Either early career psychologists or more experienced psychologists are encouraged to apply. The position may be either part-time or has the potential to grow to full-time. The APACenter is a thriving private practice that has been serving the Austin community since 2007. We offer a collaborative and supportive team atmosphere.
We provide our practitioners with the opportunity to participate in monthly didactics, free in-house continuing education seminars, weekly case conferences, and peer supervision. Our practice has two locations, one office in south Austin and another office in West Lake Hills off of Addie Roy and Bee Cave roads. This independent contractor position will be located in our West Lake Hills office. Primary responsibilities include providing therapy and consultation services with a focus on therapy for children and adolescents. However, there are opportunities to provide assessments for school-aged children and teens, as well as therapy for adults. Qualified applicants will also have experience conducting individual psychotherapy using evidence-based treatments, preferably with a broad range of ages and clientele. Special expertise in areas such as parent training, family therapy, autism spectrum disorders (ASD), ADHD interventions, and evidence-based treatments (such as CBT) would be beneficial. Availability for some late afternoons and early evenings is desired. Our offices are well-stocked with current assessment kits, protocols, and scoring software. Additionally, we have dedicated administrative assistants who replenish supplies, coordinate client care and provide billing support. Compensation is competitive.
