The School Psychology Program at Texas State University seeks an energetic colleague to join our five full-time faculty members for an open rank tenure line position (assistant, associate, or full professor). This position will involve teaching, research, service, and program support in a National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) approved Specialist in School Psychology program. Preferences include teaching and research experience in the practice of school psychology with diverse students, including English language learners. Other duties will include program leadership, supervision of practica and internship, student advisement and mentoring, maintaining an active research program, and service to the program, department, and university.

Required qualifications for Assistant Professor rank:
• Applicant must have doctoral degree (conferred on or before August 1, 2020) from a recognized school psychology program approved by the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) or accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA).
• Applicant must be eligible for Texas licensure as a psychologist and a licensed specialist in school psychology (LSSP).
• Also required is a theoretical orientation consistent with broadly defined school mental health service programs.
• Applicant must have a record of, or demonstrated potential for, excellence in scholarly activity as evidenced by publications, presentations, grants, etc.

Required qualifications for Associate Professor and Professor ranks:
• Applicant must have doctoral degree from a recognized school psychology program approved by National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) or accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA).
• Applicant must be eligible for Texas licensure as a psychologist and a licensed specialist in school psychology (LSSP).
• Also required is a theoretical orientation consistent with broadly defined school mental health service programs.
• Applicant must have a sustained record of excellence in scholarly activity as evidenced by publications, presentations, grants, etc. commensurate with rank.
• Applicant must demonstrate consistent excellence in teaching at the university level.
•To be eligible for hire at the associate professor or professor rank, candidate must meet the requirements for that rank as established by the department. The successful applicant will receive the appropriate rank and title based on University and department established standards.
