The Department of Educational Psychology at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln seeks applicants for a twelve-month, non-tenure-track Assistant Professor of Practice position to serve as the Clinic Director of the Counseling and School Psychology Clinic (CSPC) in our APA-accredited Counseling Psychology and School Psychology programs.
We are seeking candidates with expertise in the provision and supervision of evidence-based mental health interventions and assessments across a diverse range of populations to manage and grow our psychology training clinic. Applicants should demonstrate commitment to high-quality graduate supervision and teaching, and a vision for expanding the clinical/outreach services provided by the CSPC by securing partnerships and referral sources across the university and local community. Candidates must also contribute to the continuance of the programs’ longstanding commitment to multiculturalism, diversity, and social justice. In addition to directing and administering the daily CSPC operations, teaching responsibilities include undergraduate and/or graduate courses and clinical supervision of graduate students in both the School Psychology and Counseling Psychology programs. Finally, collaboration with other Counseling and School Psychology Program faculty in contributing to the management of the Programs is essential.
The Counseling and School Psychology Clinic is a psychological services, training and research clinic which resides in the Department of Educational Psychology within the College of Education and Human Sciences. The clinic’s priority is to provide affordable high quality psychological intervention and assessment services to the community through the professional training of the Counseling Psychology and School Psychology training programs. Graduate students engaged in practicum coursework provide all clinic services under the supervision of faculty from both programs who are licensed psychologists. The Department of Educational Psychology offers four graduate programs: School Psychology (APA-accredited and NASP–approved); Counseling Psychology (APA-accredited); Quantitative, Qualitative, and Psychometric Methods; and Developmental Learning Sciences. The Buros Center for Testing and the Nebraska Center for Research on Children, Youth, Families, and Schools are also affiliated with the Department. Willingness to collaborate across disciplines in the College of Education and Human Sciences and the University is highly desirable.
