APA Division 16’s Committee on Children, Youth and Families (CYF) seeks to address issues related to the social-emotional and academic development of children youth and families within school settings. Our committee is currently collaborating with APA’s CYF to expand the implementation of Resiliency building intervention in school settings for ALL children, in particular those from disadvantaged backgrounds. Division 16 CYF  is currently accepting applications for two new committee members.

Eligible candidates for this position must be a current member of Division 16. The selected individuals will begin to serve in January 2020 for a one-year, potentially renewable commitment.

The responsibilities of the position are described below.

Committee Member :

  • Attending monthly conference calls
  • Spearheading and supporting committee initiatives
  • Contributing to scholarly works related to children youth and families issues in School Psychology
  • Participating in Division 16 CYF sponsored events
  • Assisting with Division 16 programming at APA annual convention
