We are pleased to announce an opening for a full-time pediatric clinical neuropsychologist to join the Learning and Emotional Assessment Program (LEAP) within the Department of Psychiatry of Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) in Boston, MA.
LEAP provides outpatient neuropsychological evaluations to children and adolescents ages 2 to 22. We specialize in the assessment of neurodevelopmental, psychiatric, and learning difficulties, emphasizing a collaborative approach that engages the child, family, and referring provider. Referral populations include but are not limited to those referred from pediatricians, child psychiatrists and psychologists, and child neurologists.
Clinicians will also play a significant role in training, including supervision and teaching of child psychology interns, pediatric neuropsychology postdoctoral fellows, and residents in pediatrics and child psychiatry.
While clinical care and training will be the primary responsibilities, LEAP has a well-developed and integrated clinical research program. All clinicians have the opportunity to collaborate on research projects without the need to secure their own research funding.
The position offers a competitive salary and generous benefits. In addition to a staff appointment at MGH, there will be an academic appointment at Harvard Medical School (HMS). Rank will be commensurate with experience but is expected to be at the Instructor level.
Candidates should be board-certified or eligible for ABPP board certification in clinical neuropsychology and subspecialty certification in pediatric neuropsychology. Expertise in the assessment of neurodevelopmental and autism-spectrum disorders is required.
Candidates must have a doctoral degree in clinical psychology from an APA/CPA accredited program with an APA/CPA accredited pre-doctoral internship and have completed a formal two-year postdoctoral fellowship or equivalent in pediatric or developmental neuropsychology. Applicants should be licensed or license-eligible in the State of Massachusetts.
