The Department of Human Development & Psychoeducational Studies at Howard University is seeking applicants for a full-time, tenure track position in School Psychology. The appointment is at the Assistant Professor level and available for start in August 2021.

The mission of Department of Human Development and Psychoeducational Studies (HDPES) is to meet the human development, educational, and psychological needs of a multicultural society. Position Details: Candidates can expect to work in a productive, collegial atmosphere centrically nested in the multicultural, scientific, and educational richness of the Washington DC metropolitan area. Responsibilities of the position include teaching graduate level courses in the doctoral and master’s school psychology programs, advising masters and doctoral students, and supervising student research.
Candidate Details: Candidates must have an earned doctorate in school psychology and demonstrate a strong interest in, and commitment to, diversity and culturally responsive teaching, research, and practice. Strong candidates for the position are those who possess a proven track record of clinical experience/expertise; demonstrate potential/productivity in terms of research and external funding; and an ability to teach courses in cognitive and academic assessment, intervention and school consultation, among other courses.
